1. About HireMeBuddy
HireMeBuddy is an online marketplace operated by Swift Designz, Windhoek, Namibia. It lets independent service providers advertise their services and lets clients find, contact and book them. HireMeBuddy is not a party to the agreement between a client and a provider, does not employ providers, and does not perform any of the services listed.
2. Who can use HireMeBuddy
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must give accurate information, keep your password private, and use only one account. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Bookings and payments
Bookings are agreements directly between the client and the provider. Prices, scope, timing and payment are agreed between them. HireMeBuddy does not process, hold or guarantee payments; clients pay providers directly (for example in cash or by EFT). Marking a booking as paid in the app is a record made by users, not confirmation by HireMeBuddy that money was received.
4. Cancellations
Clients and providers should cancel through the app as early as possible. Any cancellation fee or refund is a matter between the client and the provider. Accounts that repeatedly cancel or fail to show up may be restricted.
5. Verification badges
"ID verified" means a HireMeBuddy administrator compared the provider's identity document with their profile. "Police clearance verified" means the provider submitted a Namibian Police clearance certificate, issued on the date shown, that an administrator reviewed. HireMeBuddy cannot confirm certificates directly with the Namibian Police, and a badge is not a guarantee of a provider's conduct, skill or qualifications. Always use your own judgement, and check licences for regulated work such as electrical or gas installations.
6. Provider responsibilities
Providers must describe their services and prices honestly, hold any licences, registrations or insurance their work legally requires, carry out work safely and professionally, and handle their own taxes. Providers are independent and are not employees or agents of HireMeBuddy.
7. Acceptable use
You must not: post false, misleading, offensive, discriminatory or sexual content; harass, threaten or defraud anyone; impersonate others; advertise illegal services; spam; collect other users' data; or try to break or bypass the platform's security. Messages, reviews, photos and profiles you post must be your own and must follow these rules.
8. Reports, blocking and enforcement
You can report or block any user from their profile or chat. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice where safety requires it.
9. Reviews
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience of a booked service. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, irrelevant or that reveal personal information.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You allow HireMeBuddy to store and display it in order to run the service, for as long as it is on your account.
11. Liability
HireMeBuddy provides the platform "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the services providers perform, for disputes between users, or for loss or damage arising from a booking. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Namibian consumer law that cannot be excluded.
12. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.
13. Changes
If we change these terms, we will ask you to review and accept the new version in the app before you can continue using HireMeBuddy.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint; otherwise disputes are subject to the Namibian courts.
